Bowman cut back the 1952 set to 252 cards. The design looks very similar to 1951, except each player’s name is presented as a facsimile signature/autograph at the bottom border of the card. The backs contain the same information as previous issues. Unfortunately this set is overshadowed but the 1952 Topps set, but is a nice looking set with many stars. Included in this Bowman offering are Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Stan Musial, and Yogi Berra, just to name a few. It is lacking in rookies, with Minnie Minoso being the only notable rookie. This year is notorious for cards being off centered and miscut.
